For a product or service that relies heavily on cellular coverage, experience is very subjective. I truly believe that the T-Mobile Home Internet service can be a really great option for those who have limited choices. It was my only source of internet for four months, and while the speeds weren't excellent by any count, it was able to get by on it. Providers like these generally don't have data caps — which is nice — but are restricted to the broadcast towers' line-of-sight.
Cannot be combined with any other Paramount+ code or coupon offers. Subscription automatically renews at $4.99/month after first year. 5G Home Internet not available in all areas; customers ineligible for 5G Home Internet may be eligible for 4G LTE. I was getting upward to 253Mbps when it was able to see the network. This shows that T-Mobile has potential in my area but something odd is causing it to be blocked at lower levels and intermittent at higher levels.

But the other four devices as mentioned have never had more than 2 bars of coverage since the 1990’s and often drop to 1 bar. Initially the service fit my needs - two tvs streaming and use of pc by both my wife and I. For the last month T-Mobile has been working on upgrading the towers around us. We can’t stream shows and the internet is at a snails pace. If everytime TMobile wants to do an upgrade we suffer for at least a month, the service isn’t worth it. Many offer P2P support through the paid side of their VPN services, but it only works partially...
Our entire house will be running on T-Mobile internet with an external antenna. I will not cancel Comcast until I ensure that we can operate without interruption. When I first set it up, I could only get 3 bars on the connection screen, so I walked around the house andgot on my roofin battery mode to find the best location. Battery mode in this device is only helpful in finding the best connection spot. This limited battery functionality is pretty cool as it allows you to get in your car and drive around to the towers to check connection levels.

When you sign up for T-Mobile's home internet plan, you get sent a 5G Gateway device that functions as a router/modem combo. Just a few months ago, T-Mobile upgraded its Gateway device to include Wi-Fi 6 technology, which means your wireless signal will cover even more of your home.
This means that of the 5G home internet providers, T-Mobile will offer the slowest speeds on average. With our T-Mobile Internet, which we received a couple months ago with the new device people are mentioning, it also says it receives 2 bars. It sometimes goes to 1 bar and we don't know if it sometimes goes below 1 or not as it shows 2 bars but we lose the wi-fi, on average, at east once. We decided to write this since we had to go to our backup provider at least once each day last week, now again today. I would love to say that t-mobile internet is a great service.
We won’t raise your price for Internet.
The 20–30ms pings are what I expect from a network that combines 5G and 4G. This is as good as you're going to get with this technology. My connection stood up to hours of Zoom and Google Meet video calling each day without noticeable lag or problems.

T-Mobile says Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV are two live TV services that are not compatible with the service. In addition to that deal, T-Mobile has offered a $100 prepaid card for those who switch to its home internet plan. When I first tested the service in early 2021, it didn’t work well at my location. I canceled almost immediately, but I was charged for a full month of service. As expected, the 5Ghz band doesn't reach far, but the 2.4Ghz could be better than it is. When outside of my house, I couldn't get much more than 50 feet from my home, and I'd lose the signal altogether. Although, sometimes I'd lose Wi-Fi connection entirely as I had to wait for my phone to switch to the 2.4GHz band from the 5GHz.

The hallmark of every internet provider is how they entice customers with an introductory price that lasts for a year or two and then jack up the price after that. We’re happy to report that T-Mobile 5G Home Internet doesn’t have anything like that baked into its fine print—you’ll always pay $50 per month for your home internet service.
